​Jamii Bora Children’s Initiative

Jamii Bora Children Initiative is a partnership flagship project with Impart Change in Mombasa, Kenya. It exists to improve the lives of vulnerable children in Mombasa County. Our programs are implemented in Shanzu, Kashaani, Kiembeni, Bamburi and Bombolulu. The lives of children depend on a society who prioritizes their well-being and development as a fundamental human right and a prerequisite for a peaceful society.

Our community initiatives have focused on the provision of basic and secondary human needs. This includes supporting child health care needs, educational support, balanced meals, sanitary supplies, parental counselling etc. Human security is a necessity for the achievement of sustainable peace and security. Our aim is to improve the lives of future generations who otherwise would be loss to society if we don’t invest in them.

​Day of the African Child – 16th June 2024

Every year on 16th June, child right stakeholders across Kenya and Africa mobilize and gather to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the full realization of the rights of children in Africa. On this commemorative day and in the month of June, we intend to provide educational supplies to children and schools in low-income communities. We will also organize an information sharing session with children/students.
