Peace-building and Conflict ManagementViolence shatters lives. It is also a human rights violation that continues unabated in local and international communities. As Impart Change we take seriously the threats conflicts and violence pose to our society. In order to mitigate these risks, we conduct capacity building for children and youth with the intention of promoting peaceful coexistence, intercultural cooperation, non-violence conflict resolution and an end to gender based violence. We do this imparting knowledge and information that has the potential of challenging negative norms, stereotypes and distorted histories, promoting respectful relationships and transforming mindsets, with the overall goal of living in a violence free society.

The Children's Peace Hub ProjectApproximately three quarters of Kenya's population is below 30 years of age. A significant number composed of children have witnessed the devastating effects to inter-communal and inter-ethnic conflict, environmental conflicts, pastoralists related conflicts and electoral violence. Children have the potential of shaping a positive future or replicating negative norms and vices if not properly guided and influenced. It is for this reason that we have embarked on initiating a new programme that targets children with the intentional of nurturing ethical and peaceful leaders for a brighter and peaceful Kenya.
If we are to create peace in our world, we must begin with our children. Mahatma Gandhi |
